What does Pink Sumac Syrup taste like?

Staghorn sumac has a naturally tart, citrus-like flavor. Local raw honey softens that tartness, while herbs and botanicals add depth to the finished syrup.

Wait...isn’t sumac poisonous?

The sumac used in our syrup is staghorn sumac, Rhus typhina. It is a different plant from poison sumac, Toxicodendron vernix. Staghorn sumac is known for its upright clusters of deep red berries and has a history of culinary use.

Storage after opening
